Echoes of the Everyday
Char x The Coffee Academics
Nov 2025 - Jan 2026

Presented in collaboration with The Coffee Academics Thailand, Echoes of the Everyday brings together seven artworks by Thai artist Charannatan Tanachoteporamat (Char) in a space where art, taste, and daily life converge. Over three months at The Coffee Academics KingSquare, the exhibition invites visitors to pause, observe, and reconnect with the quiet presence within the ordinary.
Through a cross-disciplinary collaboration with The Coffee Academics and chefs from Impact Culinova, Char expands her practice beyond the canvas. Visual artworks and specially designed savory and dessert creations inspired by her paintings create a living gallery where color, texture, and emotion are translated into flavor. Each piece extends the artist’s exploration of transformation and awareness into a multisensory experience connecting sight, taste, and presence.

The Bloom of Cascades (2025)
At the heart of Echoes of the Everyday is the idea of awareness — of being fully present in the simple, unassuming moments that make up life. Each artwork reflects a stage in this mindful journey: from release and renewal, to self-reflection, and finally to the balance between inner and outer worlds.

The Bloom of Cascades reflects on the beauty of letting go — growth that comes through movement, not control. Inspired by the image of cascading water, the work captures how renewal happens when one allows flow and change to occur naturally.

Ovoid revisits the recurring elliptical forms from Char’s earlier series Evince (2023), which first examined the complexity of human emotion. Through this collection, the artist reinterprets the ovoid form as a symbol of transformation — confronting the past, embracing the present, and allowing connections to form through awareness.

Ovoid 4 (2024)
Right Over, a mixed-media installation Char explores the practice of being grounded in the present moment through painting and spatial experience. An elliptical oil painting is installed on the ceiling, glowing with a soft red light that creates an atmosphere of warmth, focus, and stillness. The work becomes a quiet meeting between art, light, and awareness, as the red illumination symbolizes inner grounding and invites visitors to pause, breathe, and simply be present with what unfolds.
Glacial Dreamscape (2025)
Glacial Dreamscape marks a return to nature through imagination. Created before Char’s journey to Iceland, it captures the vision of vast skies, icy roads, and luminous horizons. This imagined landscape mirrors the artist’s own process of self-arrival — no longer escaping, but standing still in the fullness of the moment.

Ovoid 8 (2024)

Right Over (2024)
Together, these works reflect Char’s ongoing dialogue between art and life — between the inner world of emotion and the outer world of experience. Within the café setting, they serve as quiet companions to everyday moments, gently reminding viewers of the depth that exists in ordinary time.
